This 2015 Pokémon XY Promo Poncho-Wearing Pikachu (#203/XY-P) is graded PSA Gem Mint 10. A population of 5,800 copies has achieved this top grade from PSA, reflecting both the high-quality paper stock of Japanese promotional releases and the care with which collectors have preserved them. Illustrated by Kouki Saitou, the card's artwork features three Pikachus dressed in detailed ponchos representing Mega Altaria, Mega Lucario, and Mega Slowbro against a vibrant yellow and blue starburst background. The card displays sharp corner cuts, flawless edge structures, and pristine surface gloss.
Originally distributed at Pokémon Center stores across Japan starting in December 2015, this card was a key promotional release for the "Pikachu Mega Campaign." Because these cards were limited to Japanese retail campaigns and never saw a Western print run, they represent a highly distinct era of Pokémon TCG history. The Poncho-Wearing Pikachu releases are widely recognized as a benchmark subset among collectors, successfully bridging the popular sixth-generation Mega Evolution mechanic with exclusive mascot illustration styles.Show more
