Pop36
This 1985 Star Gatorade Slam Dunk Michael Jordan #7 is graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by Beckett Grading Services (BGS). The card showcases exceptional physical preservation across its subgrades, featuring 9 Corners, 9 Edges, and an 8.5 Surface, with the final grade limited primarily by the 5.5 Centering. According to the BGS population report, there are only 35 examples graded at this exact 6.5 level, offering a well-preserved option for collectors seeking early Jordan material.
Released during Star Company's exclusive NBA trading card licensing run from 1983 to 1986, this card commemorates Jordan's historic appearance in the 1985 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Because Star cards were distributed in limited team-bagged sets rather than standard retail wax packs, they are highly condition-sensitive and have a much lower surviving print yield than mainstream sets of the era. This card represents a significant early-career Jordan release that predates his 1986-87 Fleer rookie card.Show more
