This 1999 Pokémon Base Set Pikachu #58 is the notable Shadowless Red Cheeks variant, presented here in a CGC Gem Mint 10. As a piece from the inaugural English release, the Shadowless print run represents the earliest phase of the TCG's history, and the Red Cheeks version is a recognized variant from Mitsuhiro Arita's design that was changed to yellow sparks in the later unlimited printings. Finding these early cards in a Gem Mint grade is a distinct challenge due to the age and typical play-wear of the era, and this copy currently sits in a population of 125 at this grade. It is a well-documented version of the franchise's mascot from the set that started it all, making it a standout for collectors interested in the unique production nuances of the original 1999 release.Show more
