This 1999 Hoops Decade Retrospection Collection Parallel features the legendary Kobe Bryant and is serial-numbered 80/89 on the reverse. While the standard Retrospection insert set paid homage to historic designs, this scarce Parallel version is distinguished by its vibrant red-patterned background, foil-stamped elements, and gold foil serial numbering. Graded Near Mint-Mint+ 8.5 by Beckett Grading Services (BGS), this example exhibits strong technical preservation, boasting a Centering subgrade of 9, alongside consistent Edges (8.5), Corners (8.5), and Surface (8.5) ratings. With a BGS population of just 6 copies, this is an exceptionally elusive late-1990s parallel.
As a five-time NBA Champion, 18-time All-Star, and Hall of Famer, Kobe Bryant remains one of the most heavily collected figures in sports history. Low-numbered insert parallels from his early career—specifically those originating from the first year of the Lakers' historic three-peat dynasty—are highly sought after by advanced basketball curators. The combination of eye-catching design, strict serial numbering, and notable condition scarcity positions this card as an exceptional acquisition for long-term collectors of the Mamba's legacy.Show more
