The 2000 Pokémon Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9 is illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida and features the 1st Edition stamp located in the banner area directly below the artwork window. Graded BGS 7.5 Near Mint+, this example features individual subgrades of 9 for Centering, 8.5 for Edges, 7.5 for Corners, and 7 for Surface. According to the Beckett population report, 96 copies hold this BGS 7.5 designation.
As card #9 in the 111-card set, Lugia served as the primary chase card for the Neo Genesis release, which introduced Generation II Pokémon to the English Trading Card Game. Holographic cards from the 1st Edition Neo Genesis print run are notoriously condition-sensitive due to factory print lines and edge wear typical of early Wizards of the Coast manufacturing.Show more
