Pop209
Pop 200 at this grade level, meaning this certified copy represents a distinct tier of availability for a landmark crossover release. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, this 2018 Japanese Sun & Moon promotional Pikachu (#288/SM-P) features artwork by illustrator You Iribi. The card reimagines the franchise mascot within the swirling sky and agonizing composition of Edvard Munch's classic painting, *The Scream*, bringing a museum-level art concept directly into the Pokémon TCG.
This card was distributed exclusively in Japan to coincide with the "Munch: A Retrospective" exhibition held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum from October 2018 to January 2019. Unlike other cards from the five-card Munch crossover set that were available via retail campaigns, the Pikachu promo was distributed through a highly restricted, on-site event system during a specific campaign window. The illustration captures Pikachu standing on the bridge with a small silhouette of Eevee in the background, securing its place as one of the most culturally significant promotional releases of the Sun & Moon era.Show more
