The 2001 Pokémon Neo Discovery Holo Tyranitar #12 is a cornerstone hologram release from the Generation II era. Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, this card represents the highest standard grade awarded by PSA, with population reports confirming just 85 copies in existence at this level. Illustrated by Hironobu Yoshida, card #12/75 depicts the Stage 2 Armor Pokémon set against a dark, cosmic holofoil pattern.
Released in June 2001, Neo Discovery was the second expansion set in the Neo series, introducing Johto-region species alongside Darkness and Steel mechanics to the English Trading Card Game. Tyranitar stands as one of the principal chase holographic rares from the 75-card set, featuring 100 HP and Stage 2 evolution from Pupitar. Due to the susceptibility of dark vintage borders and holofoil surfaces to scratching and edge wear, Gem Mint PSA 10 examples remain extremely difficult to acquire.Show more
