1968 Topps Rookie Stars Jerry Koosman/Nolan Ryan #177
Baseball Cards
SGC5.5
The 1968 Topps #177 Mets Rookie Stars issue features the official rookie card of Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, shared alongside fellow New York Mets prospect Jerry Koosman. Graded SGC 5.5 Excellent-Plus (EX+), this card exhibits crisp image registration and solid overall alignment for the issue. Characterized by its distinctive burlap-style borders, the 1968 Topps set is historically prone to edge wear, surface print defects, and off-center cuts.
Nolan Ryan completed a 27-year Major League career as the sport's undisputed strikeout leader with 5,714 total punchouts and seven career no-hitters, earning induction into the Hall of Fame in 1999. Paired with Koosman, a key starting pitcher for the 1969 World Series Champion Mets, card #177 remains one of the premier rookie cards of the post-war baseball era.Show more
