Graded PSA 8 Near Mint-Mint, this 1996 Japanese Base Set Blastoise #9 features the No Rarity Symbol variant. Originating from the initial production batch of the Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game, cards from this original printing lack the black rarity symbol standard on subsequent releases. PSA reports a population of 140 examples in this NM-MT 8 condition. Illustrated by Ken Sugimori, the card depicts the fully evolved Kanto Water-type starter featuring 100 HP and the "Rain Dance" Pokémon Power. Issued by Media Factory in October 1996, the No Rarity Japanese Base Set marks the absolute debut of the global Pokémon TCG franchise.Show more
