1985 Star Slam Dunk 5x7 Michael Jordan #5
Basketball Cards

Pop433
This 1985 Star Slam Dunk Supers 5x7 Michael Jordan #5 is graded BGS 9 Mint, presenting exceptional preservation for an oversized, condition-sensitive release. The card boasts strong subgrades of Centering 9, Edges 9, Surface 9, and Corners 8.5, highlighting its condition despite the easily chipped red borders native to the set. With a Beckett population of 443, high-grade examples of this oversized issue are difficult to secure. Given its market value, this card represents an investment-grade cornerstone piece for any premier basketball portfolio.
Issued by the Star Company, the sole licensed producer of NBA cards between 1983 and 1986, this card predates Jordan's iconic 1986 Fleer rookie card and documents one of the defining moments of his rookie year. The photograph captures Jordan mid-flight during the 1985 Slam Dunk Contest wearing the legendary black-and-red Air Jordan 1 sneakers. Because these 5x7 cards were distributed directly in poly-bagged team sets rather than standard retail packs, surviving specimens rarely maintain the clean edges and corners shown here, cementing this card's legacy as an era-defining basketball collectible.Show more
