2005 EX Deoxys Rayquaza Gold Star #107, illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda and graded BGS 7.5 Near Mint+. This is the scarcer sharp-print variant collectors call the “EU print”—a rare variation of an already rare card, with noticeably crisper artwork than standard copies. A hand swirl adds to the action, while the surface damage is confined to Rayquaza’s tail, giving it an almost battle-worn appearance. Those details make this particular copy stand out.
Subgrades: Centering 9.5, Edges 7.5, Corners 7.5, Surface 6.5; with a BGS population of 42 at this grade. One of the EX era’s defining chase cards, Rayquaza bursts beyond the artwork’s frame in the signature Gold Star style. With decks limited to one Pokémon Star and original pulls estimated at roughly one Gold Star per two booster boxes, these cards were elusive from the beginning.Show more
