The 1997-98 Skybox Premium Star Rubies Scottie Pippen #48 is an essential 1990s parallel from one of basketball's most celebrated insert eras. Stamped 023/50 on the back, this copy bears serial number 23 out of a strict 50-copy print run. Graded BGS 8.5 NM-MT+, the card features individual subgrades of 9.5 for Centering, 8.5 for Edges, 8.5 for Corners, and 8.5 for Surface. With a BGS population of 3 at this grade, examples preserved in this condition are distinctly scarce.
A central architect of the Chicago Bulls six-championship dynasty in the 1990s, Pippen was a seven-time NBA All-Star, eight-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection, and member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. The 1997-98 Star Rubies set is known for severe condition sensitivity due to its dark, full-bleed foil edges, making high-subgrade examples challenging to find. Given its low serial numbering and historical place in 1990s card production, this card stands as an investment-grade basketball asset.Show more
