This 2002 Pokémon Japanese Flareon #17 Holo originates from the Split Earth expansion and features artwork by Kyoko Umemoto. PSA has certified 315 copies of this 1st Edition card in Gem Mint 10 condition, representing the peak of the grading scale. This card showcases the distinct e-Reader dot-code strips along the left and bottom borders alongside a vibrant holofoil finish, requiring pristine centering and flawless surface preservation to achieve the maximum grade.
The Split Earth set represents a major transitional era in the Pokémon TCG, designed to interface with Nintendo's e-Reader accessory during a period of limited print runs. Holographic 1st Edition cards from this generation are highly prized by collectors due to the sensitivity of early-2000s Japanese card stock and the susceptibility of the holofoil to surface scratching. This PSA 10 specimen stands as a exceptionally well-preserved example from one of the franchise's most distinct historical eras.Show more
