Introduced during the PCG era, Gold Star cards established a distinct design style where the character's artwork breaks the traditional image frame, coupled with a specific gameplay rule printed on the card restricting decks to a single Gold Star card. As part of the 2004 Rocket Gang Strikes Back expansion, Torchic represents one of the inaugural Hoenn starter Gold Stars, serving as a key milestone in Japanese set history.Show more
