This 2016 Pokémon XY Evolutions Prerelease Holo Charizard (#11/108) features the distinctive gold "STAFF" stamp emblazoned across the bottom-left corner of the illustration window. Graded a Mint 9 by PSA, this specimen exhibits crisp corners, clean borders, and vibrant colors across Mitsuhiro Arita's iconic illustration. There are currently 273 examples graded at this Mint 9 level in the PSA population registry, underscoring the scarcity of this promo variant in high grade.
Released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise, XY Evolutions modernized the original 1999 Base Set designs. The "Staff" stamped prerelease holofoil cards were distributed strictly to tournament organizers and event workers prior to the set's retail launch, bypassing standard booster pack distribution entirely. Consequently, this subset of prerelease cards remains among the most difficult to acquire and highly documented releases of the entire XY era.Show more
