This 1996 Japanese Pokémon Base Set Squirtle #7 features original artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita and is identified by the absence of a rarity symbol in the lower right corner. Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, this specimen retains sharp corners, bright colors, and clean surfaces on both the front and back face. PSA records 76 copies at this grade level out of total submissions. Released in October 1996, cards produced during the initial print run of the Japanese Basic Expansion Pack lacked the standard rarity icon found on later distributions. Serving as the Japanese equivalent to an English 1st Edition release, this No Rarity Symbol variant marks the absolute debut of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, featuring Squirtle as one of the foundational Kanto starter Pokémon.Show more
