The 2023 Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promo Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat #085 was released as part of an official collaboration between The Pokémon Company and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Illustrated by Naoyo Kimura, the card artwork reimaginings Vincent van Gogh's 1887 oil painting Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat in the Pokémon aesthetic. Graded Gem Mint 10 by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), this copy represents the highest numeric grade awarded for the issue. The PSA population report indicates 50,261 examples at this top tier.
Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Van Gogh Museum, the promo was made available in limited windows via museum entry and qualifying Pokémon Center online orders in late 2023. Beyond its crossover appeal, the card carries mechanical functionality with the Pika-Portrait attack, allowing players to search their deck for a Pikachu card and place it directly onto the Bench.Show more
