This is Lugia from Call of Legends, the last English set of the HeartGold & SoulSilver era, released in 2011. The set brought back fan-favorite legendaries, and this holo rare is one of its headline cards. Gem Mint copies are scarce.
What sets this copy apart is the swirl. On holo cards from this era, the foil pattern forms a circular swirl, and where its center lands changes from card to card. On this copy the swirl is clear and well placed, so the foil seems to radiate from behind Lugia. Collectors look for that “eye-appeal” swirl on top of the grade.
PSA has graded it a Gem Mint 10, with sharp corners, clean edges, a strong surface and good centering. For Lugia collectors, a gem copy with a standout swirl is the version to own.Show more
